Hi everyone!
If you're looking for something somewhat time consuming to read over the upcoming spring break, I would recommend Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre. The eighth grade just read this, and although some would say it's a daunting book to read, I really enjoyed it. It has a little something for everyone: romance, suspense, and mystery, and it's a great book for those of you who like the classics!
Hope to see more of you at Book Club!

Hello everyone!
As of right now, I would definitely recommend reading the Graceling series by Kristin Cashore.
Also, I'd like to recommend Divergent by Veronica Roth. Not only are both of these books exellent,
but they also have a sequel or "trequel" due to come out on May 1st. This should give you
plenty of time to read the books- without having to wait for the next to arrive!

I enjoyed Paranormalcy, followed by Supernaturally, by Kiersten White. teenage romance, werewolves, vampires, fairies...

Hi, Book Club!

You must, you must, you must read everything written by Wendy Mass. I cannot say enough about how much I love her books. I am currently reading Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life, having just finished Every Soul a Star. Trust me when I tell you that readers of all ages should read her books, so if a book has a main character who is younger than you currently are, do not let that stop you from reading it. Wendy Mass uses language so gorgeously, and her characters are absolutely scrumptious.

Another fave of mine for older readers is I Am Number Four. For you Hunger Games lovers, I highly recommend this book. I have not yet read the second book in the series, which was recently published. I see you read The Maze Runner -- loved it! I also read the second book in the trilogy, The Scorch Trials.

Finally, I loved The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare -- perhaps better for older readers -- chock full of vampires, werewolves, a bit of romance, and other-worldly things. After reading Mrs. Groff's entry above, I see that I need to read Paranormalcy and Supernaturally!

A fellow lover of reading,
Ms. Hahne

I am currrently reading A mango shaped space!

IT IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone that sees this better read it, and im almost finished and then im going to read.....................

OUT OF MY MIND, i heard its really good well i will tell you what i think when im finished!!!!

don't laugh, but I only just read Hunger Games over the weekend. Yes, it is amazing - a bit Minotaur myth, a bit Roman gladiators, a bit Survivor. I hesitate to read the next 2 books - politics doesn't interest me as much as The Games. I am definitely looking forward to the movie. I finished Son of Neptune - I'm not enjoying the Roman gods as much as I enjoyed the Greek. Also finished The Death Cure (3rd in Maze Runner). Mrs. G

There is now a countdown clock for the Hunger Games movie on the library page...

I'm about to begin Catching Fire - it's about time, right? But there are so many books to read! Ms. Hahne's 5th grade English class will be Skyping with author Stephanie Burgis (Kat, Incorrigible series) on March 7 and author Ally Carter (Heist Society and Gallagher Spy Academy series) is coming March 16! Mrs. G
